    2025 Scott Trial

    The club have 10 members who have decided to enter the world’s toughest trial, The Scott on 11/10/25. Below are all the Bradford members who have entered. As in previous years, the team must consist of three individually entered riders NOT all on the same make of machine (eg not all Beta, two can be on the same make but third must be different). Our teams will be entered to win Award No 10 The Eric S Myers Trophy.

    Bradford DMC and The Scott

    Bradford and District Motor Club took over and held ‘the Scott’ around Blubberhouses until 1938 when the permission to use the land was withdrawn, meaning that a new home at Swainby was found for the immediate years after the Second World War. A reorganisation of boundaries by the sport’s governing body in 1950 saw a switch to Swaledale under the auspices of Darlington and District Motor Club until 1990 when current custodians Richmond and District Motor Club took over and continue to put on a wonderful event annually

  • Yorkshire Centre Clubman C/ship

    Yorkshire Centre Clubman C/ship

    The Yorkshire Centre Clubman Championship final round will be held on Sunday, 7th December, at Skyrakes, Bog Lane Skipton. The course will be marked out according to championship rules. The club hopes to organise a “small wheel class” trial, but this will depend on a site visit during the next few weeks. The trial will be an “open” trial, but participants must be registered with a Yorkshire Centre Club as an ACU member to be eligible for Championship points. Entries will be available via the ACU/Sport80 platform sometime in November. 

    Below is the Championship positions with the one round to go.

    Open Trial = Competitors must be registered members of Clubs affiliated to the ACU.

    From Skipton

    Out of Skipton take the Grassington Road. Look out for flags on the left hand side just past a dirt lay-by. Turn left (Beware it is a sharp turning) Continue up the lane until you come to a sharp left turn. Just before the turn you will see a gated farm track on your right going onto the moor. Please SHUT gates as you travel up the track

    2025 YORKSHIRE CLUBMAN CHAMPIONSHIP

    As per Centre rules, Yorkshire Clubman Championship events will have the following routes and are open to the following classes: –Clubman A: Classes: – Clubman, Youth; A & B.Clubman B: Classes: – Clubman, P65, Twin Shock, Air cooled mono, Youth A, B and C

    The trial will be observed as NO STOP

    Experts & Intermediates aged 45 and over may enter and elect to ride Clubman’s ‘A’ route, however, when so doing they shall be classified as a Clubman ‘A’ and shall be eligible for Clubman ‘A’ Championship points.Experts and Intermediates under 45 can elect to ride on a non-competitive basis.

    Riders may also choose to ride out of class on a no points basis.

    The severity of the 2 routes will be the same as the Horsforth Club Series Clubman A & B so this is an opportunity  for our middling club riders to enter a Yorkshire Centre Trial and earn points for the Yorkshire Centre Clubman Championship. (Remember this Yorkshire Clubman event  is No-stop where our Club Series trials are Stop Allowed)There may be an (optional) Small Wheels/Conducted Championship at these events – Classes C, D and E, stop allowed

    Our Young,uns had a go at The RM Mintex Trophy Trial on Saturday 13th September hosted by the Richmond Motor Club.

    The trial is time and observation and run very similar to the famous Scott Trial, classed as the toughest one day trial.

    The following club members, William Hemingway, Sophie Sellers, Isaac Reeday, Will & Sam Ethell, Oliver Petty, Max Lampkin, Charlie Petty, Noah Morton and Zachary Sellers represented the Club.

    The above photo are of 3 of our members were riding the Planit Opticians Summer Series of Trials in 2024 and now they entered the RM Mintex Trophy Trial along with Noah Morton.

    We had 7 who finished within the time limit (Standardtime + 2 1/2 hours who each will receive a certificate. Congratulations to Max Lampkin, Charlie Petty, Noah Morton, Zachary Sellers, Oliver Petty, Isaac Reeday and Sophie Sellers.

  • Open Trial

    Open Trial

    The club will be running an “Open Trial” on 12th October up in the Buckden area of Upper Wharfedale. The severity will be similar to the Yorkshire Centre Clubman’s Championship. There will be 3 course marked out. The start time is 11:00am and subject to the number of observers the course plotters will mark out 12 sections 3 laps. This venue is not really suitable for beginners or electric bikes.

    This trial is open to all registered members of Clubs affiliated to the ACU

    From Skipton

    Travel up to Kettlewell, go through the village over the hump back bridge and bear Left (With the Race Horses Pub on your lh side. Continue along this road through Starbottom then onto Buckden. As you enter Buckden turn left heading towards Hubberholme. The venue is on your left approx 1/2 down this road.
